Graduates (Bachelors / Advanced degrees)
Business Analyst
You will be researching, evaluating and analyzing data, working with a variety of people, both internal as well as client facing. Using MS-Excel and PowerPoint frequently, being highly skilled in both of these tools will be critical to your success.
Working both independently with very little supervision, as well as in teams, you will be expected to present complex concepts and results to various types and levels of audiences.
What will my work look like?
Rarely will one day look and feel the same as the one before. Here are a few things you might do, sometimes a few of them in a single day...
- Research one of our client's organization and industry
- Supporting or conducting an interview with a client stakeholder or expert
- Working with our clients' data or finance teams to query and scrub project relevant data sets
- Translating data into meaningful insights and pulling your findings into a story-line on a PowerPoint presentation. It is not a must, but we would encourage you to also present your work to an internal audience or sometimes in a client-facing setting.
- Support our project lead to move the client into action according to ever changing project plans
- Do all of this, while you are working from the office, or sometimes when you travel

You are a seasoned business leader with many years of industry or consulting experience.
Given the existing (or potential) range of sectors we focus on, the expertise and ideas which you can bring to Formentor could shape our future.
As a small, boutique consulting firm, it is important for us that you are not one to shy away from hands-on tasks. You don't need to be an advanced user, but self-sufficiency in MS-Excel and PowerPoint is a must.
Additional traits we look for, but not necessarily in this order...
- A strong team player which takes pride in her/his own quality of work
- Highly organized, deadline driven. Meticulous about giving enough attention to the important details
- Strong presentation skills; highly adept at facilitating workshops with multiple senior stakeholders which sometimes pull in different and conflicting directions
- Well balanced in terms of verbal as well as quantitative skills, with a high dosage of emotional intelligence thrown in
- Be able and willing to manage the junior team members
- Persuasive towards clients based on expertise, credibility, and gravitas; able to help stakeholders with differing viewpoints to seek and find common ground, and agree on next steps...
